The Ministry of National Property, Surveying and Land Affairs (MINCAF) of Cameroon has issued a circular stating that from December 26, 2025, any application for land registration/concession rights of more than 10 hectares must be accompanied by a "non objection letter" issued by a first level traditional chief.

The government plans to set a limit on individual/corporate land holdings to combat land speculation.
